Hepatocellular carcinoma in children.

Deirdre Kelly1, Khalid Sharif2, Rachel M Brown3, Bruce Morland4.

Abstract

Liver tumors are relatively rare in childhood, but may be associated with a range of diagnostic, genetic, therapeutic, and surgical challenges sufficient to tax even the most experienced clinician. This article outlines the epidemiology, etiology, pathologic condition, initial workup, and management of hepatocellular carcinoma in children and adolescents. Crown
