Abstract
In the light of recent warnings on the hazards of aspirin administration to children, a survey amongst the parents of 361 randomly selected child dental out-patients, aged 11.99 years and under, was undertaken to determine their analgesic of choice for the relief of dental pain. A significant number of parents are continuing to administer aspirin to children under 12 years of age, contrary to medical advice. The choice of a suitable alternative analgesic is discussed.Entities:
