Abstract
The Institute of Medicine has recommended interprofessional education (IPE) to improve patient safety and quality outcomes. However, getting started in IPE can be overwhelming and fraught with barriers. One health science university began by offering a 2-week intensive course that was integrated into existing courses. The evaluation validated the need for more understanding about professional roles and preparation as well as for faculty to learn from each other.Entities:
