Abstract
Erythroderma is a condition caused by several etiologies that result in red inflamed skin on 90% or more of the body surface. To optimize the diagnosis and management of the erythrodermic patient, healthcare professionals should be familiar with the underlying etiologies and treatment modalities. Patients with erythroderma require immediate attention as they may face a variety of medical complications. Early detection and effective management of these complications significantly reduce mortality and morbidity of this potential dermatologic emergency. This review highlights the underlying common diagnoses, assessment, and management of the patient with erythroderma.Entities:
