Abstract
Micropeptides represent an emerging class of eukaryotic regulators that are easily missed in conventional genome annotation. Anderson et al. (2015) describe how a new tissue-specific micropeptide, myoregulin (MLN), interacts with the skeletal muscle calcium handling machinery to moderate contractile activity, representing a promising drug target for improving muscle performance.Entities:
