Abstract
Cutaneous leiomyosarcomas are uncommon malignant tumors of smooth muscle. We report herein two cases of cutaneous leiomyosarcoma, one of dermal and other of subcutaneous vascular origin, confirmed by histology and immunohistochemistry. Both cases were treated with wide surgical excision, one with local recurrence. No metastases were detected at follow-up. Leiomyosarcomas should be considered in lesions with histologic features of spindle cell malignancy. It is necessary in most of the cases a histological differentiation with specific immunohistochemical markers. The treatment of choice is radical excision with wide margins, achieving satisfactory results.Entities:
