Abstract
BACKGROUND: We analyzed the extent of the comminution in the acetabular weight-bearing area, the clinical and radiographic results, and the complications after a minimum 2-year follow-up of the modified Stoppa approach for the treatment of acetabular fractures, and we attempted to evaluate the efficacy of the operative technique.Entities:

AVN: avascular necrosis, THRA: total hip replacement arthroplasty, ORIF: open reduction and internal fixation.
*Traumatic arthritis: 6 cases of type I, 2 cases of type II, and 2 cases of type III.
