Abstract
Combination therapy of oral bisphosphonate and vitamin D analogue showed superior anti-osteoporotic effect compare to bisphosphonate mono-therapy for post menopausal, male and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis. Furthermore, the degree of success of oral bisphosphonate therapy for osteoporotic patients should depend on the their vitamin D status. It is thought that we have to evaluate severity of osteoporosis and vitamin D status before started therapy. The combination therapy of these drugs will be more efficient for relatively patients with severe osteoporotic patients and with low vitamin D status.Entities:
