Abstract
We report the first case of true Delftia lacustris bacteremia in a patient with pheochromocytoma. The organism was identified using 16S rRNA gene sequencing and biochemical tests. A peripheral intravenous catheter was the suspected source of infection, and the patient was successfully treated with piperacillin/tazobactam. We also present a review of the literature describing bacteremia caused by Delftia species.Entities:
