Abstract
Sacrocolpopexy has remained standard procedure for correction of pelvic organ prolapse regardless of the affected compartment. Assuming the appropriate indication, it is characterized by an excellent long-term cure rate. Asymptomatic pelvic organ prolapse is no indication for surgery and should not be corrected in view of possible complications. This article summarizes general and method-specific complications of sacrocolpopexy, identifies causes, and allows error management to be tailored to each individual patient to increase treatment and outcome quality.Entities:
