Abstract
Nurses and midwives should be able to perform, interpret and implement the results of clinical research to improve the quality of patient care. Increasing the research capacity and capability of healthcare professionals requires strong leadership and a strategic approach. This article describes how one NHS trust supports engagement of nurses and midwives in research through the development of a research strategy and a centre for nurse and midwife-led research.Entities:
