Previous and present orthopedic surgery of the lower limbs (number of procedures) in 34 children with spastic diplegia
| Surgical procedures | Previous surgery (17 children) | Index surgery (34 children) |
|---|---|---|
| Adductor tenotomy | 7 | 22 |
| Psoas tenotomy | 0 | 38 |
| Hamstrings tenotomies | 12 | 35 |
| Rectus femoris transfer | 0 | 44 |
| Triceps surae lengthening | 27 | 30 |

| Total no. of procedures | 60 | 195 |
Other procedures in “previous surgery” include bilateral proximal tibial hemiepiphysiodesis, and in “index surgery” they include the following procedures: 2 pelvic osteotomies, 3 tibial osteotomies, 2 triple arthrodesis, 2 plantar fasciomyotomy, 2 operation for hallux valgus, and 1 operation for hammer toe.
Gait profile score (GPS) in degrees, expressed as mean (SD). All 34 children were included in the comparison between preoperative and 1-year postoperative GPS, whereas 5-year GPS was available in 29 patients
