Cancer metabolism: targeting cancer universality.

Soo-Youl Kim1.

Abstract

Cancer metabolism has taken a step forward lately using modern molecular and chemical biology techniques. The future direction will most likely be defined by scientists looking for the commonality between cancer types, using metabolic gene signatures, RNA and protein signatures of metabolic enzymes. Cancer metabolism may be the missing link between the inductive and deductive methods in the scientific method.
