Dear Sir, This is in reference to Letter to Editor Published in Indian J Occup Environ Med 2014;18:1: 36.[1] In this letter author has commented on epidemiological correlates in our article study the epidemiological profile of taxi drivers in the background of occupational environment, stress, and personality characteristics. We welcome the feedback from the author, but some points needed to be clarified. Our article is a descriptive study which by definition limited to description of occurrence of a disease in population.[2] In study results personal as well as sociodemographic characters of taxi drivers are mention in brief due to restriction of words. Further separate analytical study needs to be designed to ascertain cause effect relation between study variables and morbidities in taxi drivers. On recommendation part of study we feel that current study may act as precursor for analytical and experimental studies on workplace health and safety, which will provides us concrete evidence required for public health intervention to be implemented to promote health and prevent morbidity and mortality due to occupational hazards in taxi drivers.
