Abstract

Thiourea dioxide, a green industrial reductant, has been explored as an efficient chemiluminescence coreactant for the first time. Luminol-thiourea dioxide chemiluminescence can be significantly enhanced by Co(2+). This system enables the sensitive detection of thiourea dioxide, luminol and Co(2+), being particularly selective for Co(2+) detection.
