Abstract
We report the first proven case of osteomyelitis due to Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. This infection occurred almost 20 years after traumatic inoculation of the bacterium, when the patient was gored by one of his cows. Diagnosis was made by bone biopsies, and treatment included rifampicin and levofloxacin for 3 months.Entities:
