Abstract
Iatrogenic vascular complications following intramedullary nailing of hip fractures is a rare occurrence. We describe a case report of injury to the profunda femoris artery due to a displaced lesser trochanteric fragment following ambulation. We discuss the mechanism of arterial injury and associated signs in addition to possible preventative strategies.Entities:
