Malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney: radiologic features.

C L Sisler1, M J Siegel.

Abstract

Malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney is a rare neoplasm with distinct clinical and pathologic features. The authors present the radiologic findings of this tumor in two patients. A central soft-tissue mass, compressing and partially obstructing the underlying kidney, in association with a subcapsular fluid collection and capsular involvement, was present in both patients. These features possibly reflect the aggressive nature of malignant rhabdoid tumor.
