Baseline characteristics of the study subjects
Values are presented as number (%) or mean ± SD.
E2: E2E2 and E2E3; E3:E3E3; E4: E3E4 and E4E4. eGFR: estimated glomerular filtration rate.
*Post-hoc analysis with Tukey's test. †Statistical analysis by chi-square test. ‡Statistical analysis by analysis of variance.
Association between Apolipoprotein E genotype and allele with eGFR
Values are arithmetic mean (95% confidence interval) for eGFR (mL/min/1.73 m2). Model I: adjusted age and sex. Model II: further adjusted for body mass index, smoking, systolic blood pressure, hypertension, diabetes, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, log-transformed triglycerides, and log-transformed albumin to creatinine ratio.
E2: E2E2 and E2E3; E3:E3E3; E4: E3E4 and E4E4. eGFR: estimated glomerular filtration rate.
*Statistical analysis by analysis of covariance.
Odds ratio of Apolipoprotein E genotype and allele for chronic kidney disease
Values are odds ratio (95% confidence interval) for chronic kidney disease (estimated glomerular filtration rate < 60 mL/min/1.73 m2).
Model I: adjusted age and sex. Model II: further adjusted for body mass index, smoking, systolic blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, log-transformed triglycerides, and log-transformed albumin to creatinine ratio.
E2: E2E2 and E2E3; E3:E3E3; E4: E3E4 and E4E4.
*Statistical analysis by logistic regression.
