Abstract
The case histories of four children with brain tumours, for whom stereotactic brachytherapy was indicated, are presented from the St Bartholomew's Hospital intracranial brachytherapy programme. The recent evolution of the computed-tomography-directed stereotactic technique is described and the uses of different radionuclides (198Au, 192Ir) are discussed. The future of brachytherapy for paediatric brain tumours is debated.Entities:
