Abstract
72-year-old female had thoracoscopic esophagectomy for advanced thoracic esophageal cancer after induction chemotherapy with CDDP(70 mg/m2, day 1) +5-FU (650 mg/m2, day 1-5). Since the membranous portion of trachea was injured due to dense adhesion thoracoscopic surgery was converted to mini-thoracotomy. Injured portion was closed with 4-0 absorbable suture, and covered with gastric tube for reconstruction through posterior mediastinal route. No respiratory complications occurred after surgery and the patient discharged at the 12 post operative days.Entities:
