Abstract
The in vitro activities of teicoplanin and vancomycin were compared with those of six other antimicrobial agents against 460 bacteremic isolates of gram-positive cocci. Teicoplanin was as active as vancomycin but less active than ciprofloxacin against staphylococci. Teicoplanin was the most potent of all agents tested against enterococci and had excellent activity against pneumococci.Entities:
