Abstract
Low back pain is a major health problem in the United States today. Nearly 80% of Americans experience low back pain during their lifetime, with facet syndrome accounting for a large percentage of these symptoms. A recent study on low back pain showed involvement of one or more facet joints in 79% of the patients studied, while ruptured disc involvement was present in only 1%. This report investigates facet syndrome, its anatomy, etiology, clinical signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and various methods of treatment and patient management.Entities:
