Abstract
The moderately thermophilic, anaerobic bacterium Bacillus thermoamylovorans 1A1 (DSM 29353) was isolated from a biogas plant in Germany. It is able to grow efficiently on various carbohydrates such as starch, pectin or xylan. The draft genome sequence of B. thermoamylovorans 1A1 was established and provides the genetic basis for application of this microorganism in degradation of plant biomass.Entities:
