The sign of Leser-Trélat: does it exist?

H J Rampen1, L E Schwengle.

Abstract

The sign of Leser-Trélat is usually regarded as a reliable cutaneous marker of internal malignancy. We have reviewed the literature and conclude that the evidence for a causal relation between eruptive seborrheic keratoses and cancer is meager.
