Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Morning blood pressure surge (MBPS) is an independent predictor of atherothrombotic cardiovascular events in hypertensive patients. There is evidence from studies supporting the validity of mean platelet volume (MPV) as a marker of vascular risk and predictor of thrombotic complications.
