Abstract
Given the potency of interferon-α/β, viral evasion of this pathway is crucial for infection. In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Laurent-Rolle et al. (2014) report that during yellow fever virus infection, interferon-α/β stimulates the polyubiquitination of viral NS5, which binds to STAT2 and inhibits transcription of interferon-stimulated genes.Entities:
