Abstract
Andreas Vesalius of Brussels (1514-1564) was a Renaissance physician and surgeon whose most famous work was the De humani corporis fabrica libri septem a monograph describing human anatomy, first published in 1543. The Fabrica precipitated advances both anatomical and pedagogical, and its influence was such that Vesalius has since been described as the 'founder of modern anatomy'.Entities:
