[Incidence of double mental foramen in a sample of Greek population].

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of the double mental foramen in a sample of Greek population. Four hundred sixty four dry human mandibles were studied two hundred thirty referred to men and two hundred thirty four to women. Double mental foramen were found in 6.68% per cent of the cases (6.95% women and 6.41% in men). There was no statistical significance between sex and this kind of entity.
