Abstract
BACKGROUND: The last study reported the prevalence of Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) in rural Northeast China was conducted approximately ten years ago. We aimed to update the data on the prevalence and epidemiological features of MetS in rural Northeast China.Entities:

Abbreviations: BMI body mass index, WC waist circumference, CNY China Yuan (1CNY = 0.161 USD), SBP systolic blood pressure, DBP diastolic blood pressure, TC total cholesterol, TG triglyceride, LDL-C low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, HDL-C high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, FPG fasting plasma glucose. aIncluding some ethnic minorities in China, such as Mongol and Manchu. Cardiovascular disease include angina, myocardia infarction, arrhythmia, heart failure.
