Abstract
Initiation of meiotic recombination by DNA double-strand break formation is temporally coordinated with replication. Murakami and Keeney show that this coordination requires recruitment of the Dbf4-dependent kinase to the replication fork by the conserved TIM-TIPIN complex. The same mechanism may regulate other important replication-associated processes.Entities:
