Before and After refer to time periods before and after availability of non-prescription emergency contraceptive (the cut-off point was January 2007)
Unintended pregnancy was identified if a patient reported that she wanted to be pregnant later or did not want to be pregnant then or at any time in the future.
Missing data
The question of pregnancy intention was added in the survey near the end of the Before period which reflected a small number of respondents.
