Abstract
BACKGROUND: Aberrant methylation of protocadherin 17 (PCDH17) has been reported in several human cancers. However, the methylation status of PCDH17 in prostate cancer and its clinical significance remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the methylation status of PCDH17 and its clinical significance in patients with prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy. MATERIAL/Entities:

Figure 1The relationship between PCDH17 methylation and BCR-free survival in patients with prostate cancer. Patients with PCDH17 methylated showed significantly shorter BCR-free survival than patients with PCDH17 unmethylated (P=0.0028, log-rank test).
