Abstract
Assessment of tumor response is crucial in determining the effectiveness of loco-regional and systemic therapy, and for determining the need for subsequent treatment. The ultimate goal is to improve patient's survival. Changes in tumor size and enhancement after therapy may not be detected early by the traditional response criteria. Tumor response is better assessed in the entire tumor volume rather than in a single axial plane. The purpose of this article is to familiarize the reader with early treatment response assessed by anatomic and volumetric functional magnetic resonance imaging metrics of the liver after loco-regional and systemic therapy.Entities:
