Abstract
Iron(III) chloride-catalyzed cyclopentannulation of π-conjugated 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds is described. An interrupted vinylogous iso-Nazarov reaction of trienones was established in which cyclopenta[b]furan derivatives are obtained as single diastereomers.Entities:
