Abstract
BACKGROUND: Although arthroscopy of upper extremity joints was initially a diagnostic tool, it is increasingly used for therapeutic interventions. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are considered the gold standard for assessing treatment efficacy. We aimed to review the literature for intervention RCTs involving wrist and shoulder arthroscopy.Entities:

Figure 1RCTs involving wrist arthroscopy or shoulder arthroscopy – inclusion and exclusion flow diagram. Details of the inclusion and exclusion process of the finally selected intervention randomized controlled trials in which at least one arm involved wrist arthroscopy or shoulder arthroscopy; shown in a PRISMA flow diagram. W = number of wrist arthroscopy articles; S = number of shoulder arthroscopy articles.
