Abstract
Retrocaval ureter is a rare congenital anomaly, with the ureter passing posterior to the inferior vena cava. Though it is a congenital anomaly, patients do not normally present with symptoms until the 3(rd) and 4(th) decades of life, which result from a hydronephrosis. We are presenting a case of 45-year-old lady who had right flank pain and dysuria, which were associated with right hydroureteronephrosis. Diagnosis was confirmed by doing Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP) and patient underwent an open surgical repair of the anomaly.Entities:
