Abstract
Optical and magnetic resonance imaging have the potential to be complementary non-invasive imaging modalities. Yet without advances in imaging technologies and contrast agents both have short-comings that cannot be ignored. In this review we demonstrate the pre-clinical use of the two imaging techniques in Alzheimer's disease, including examples from recent applications and discuss what is needed to improve their applicability for drug discovery.:Entities:
