Abstract
University-based nursing schools throughout the nation have attempted to decentralize nursing education from urban health science centers into rural areas. This article summarizes the outcomes of such a program. Data were collected from nurses working in rural North Carolina about their perceptions of the decentralized nursing education program in their region. The data have been used to gain continuing support and funding for the decentralized program.Entities:
