Abstract
Five cases of furuncular myiasis imported by Spanish travelers from tropical countries are reported. After reviewing the cycle of the infecting organism and the characteristics of the human disease, a table with the clinical and epidemiological data of our patients is presented. The relevance of an adequate clinical and geographical anamnesis in these patients is discussed. Finally, the effectiveness of a simple, nonaggressive treatment is reported, which permits the patient to verify by himself the disappearance of the parasite.Entities:
