Abstract
Primary mesenteric gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) are rare tumours and can be included as a differential for an expanding intraabdominal mass. We present the case, in our institution, of a 72-year-old male who presented with non-specific symptoms and was diagnosed with a primary mesenteric GIST following resection. We report his follow-up and discuss the current theories as to the origins of these rare tumours and current treatment modalities. Published by Oxford University Press and JSCR Publishing Ltd.
