Encysted hard contact lens appearing as an orbital mass.

M L Friedberg1, S Abedi.

Abstract

A 37-year-old man had an anterior orbital mass. Computerized tomography demonstrated a cystic lesion between the upper eyelid and the globe, but no foreign body was visible within the lesion. The cyst was removed surgically and found to contain a hard contact lens. Twenty cases of encysted hard contact lenses have been previously reported.
