A proximal radial metaphyseal fracture presenting as wrist pain.

T E Anderson, A L Breed.

Abstract

Fractures as well as subluxation of the radial head may present as wrist pain in children. A case is presented of a fracture of the proximal intact metaphysis which presented with wrist pain. Injuries presenting with wrist pain in children who have normal wrist roentgenograms must also have the elbow examined closely. Copyright 2013, SLACK Incorporated.
