Abstract
66 odontogenic cysts containing hyaline bodies were studied under the light microscope, in immunohistochemical assays and by SEM using energy dispersive radiomicroanalysis. Part of the hyaline bodies consists of two components. The external hyaline component, which we consider as a specific product of the odontogenic cyst epithelium, consistently contains the elements calcium and phosphate. The internal component, if present, is either of an exogenous (foreign body) or an endogenous nature. It was possible to define precursors of hyaline bodies and to attribute them to the individual types of hyaline bodies.Entities:
