Abstract
One class of excitatory amino acid (EAA) receptor, the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, has excited enormous interest because of its unique pharmacological and physiological properties. Yet another property of this receptor/channel complex has recently emerged: its activation is greatly enhanced by and may even be dependent on, sub-micromolar concentrations of glycine.Entities:
