Abstract
This study assessed the clinical accuracy of the correlation between the careHPV test and the HC2 test, as well as the correlation between the careHPV test and the HPV-PCR test. From September 21 to December 31, 2009, 419 cervical specimens from women, 30-49 years, were collected. All women were assessed by Digene HC2 High-Risk HPV DNA Test (HC2), careHPV test, and HPV-PCR. The concordance rate between careHPV and HC2 was 93.81% and between careHPV and HPV-PCR 88.12%. The sensitivity and specificity of the careHPV test to detect cancers of equal or greater severity than CIN 2 were 85.71% and 83.15% respectively. Results from careHPV, HC2, and HPV-PCR were highly consistent. The careHPV test has good sensitivity and specificity for the detection of HPV infection and is a promising primary screening method for cervical cancer in low-resource regions.Entities:

Figure 1ROC curve demonstrating sensitivity and specificity of the careHPV, HPV-HC2, and HPV-PCR tests to detect HPV in cervical cancer of equal or greater severity than CIN 2.
The test result variable(s): hc2_code, HPV-PCR_code, careHPVcode has at least one tie between the positive actual state group and the negative actual state group. The smallest cutoff value is the minimum observed test value minus 1, and the largest cutoff value is the maximum observed test value plus 1. All the other cutoff values are the averages of two consecutive ordered observed test values. HPV-HC2 (hc2_code): Z = 0.837; 95% CI: 0.772–0.903; P = 0.0001. HPV-PCR (gl_res_cod): Z = 0.844; 95% CI: 0.767–0.986; P = 0.0001. careHPV (ca_rescodf): Z = 0.844; 95% CI: 0.779–0.909; P = 0.0001. The larger the area under the ROC curve, the higher the diagnostic value of the test.
Figure 2ROC curve demonstrating sensitivity and specificity of the careHPV, HPV-HC2, and HPV-PCR tests to detect HPV in CIN 1 lesions.
The test result variable(s): hc2_code, gl_res_cod, ca_rescodf has at least one tie between the positive actual state group and the negative actual state group. Statistics may be biased. (a) Under the nonparametric assumption. (b) Null hypothesis: true area = 0.5. HPV-HC2 (hc2_code): Z = 0. 316; 95% CI: 0. 230–0. 403; P = 0.0001. HPV-PCR (gl_res_cod): Z = 0. 365; 95% CI: 0. 278–0. 451; P = 0.0001. careHPV (ca_rescodf): Z = 0. 344; 95% CI: 0. 256–0. 433; P = 0.0001. The area under ROC curve of small, no diagnostic value.
