Abstract

The vasopressor potencies of endothelin (ET) in SHR, DOC, and CLIP hypertensive rats were determined. Rat endothelin (ET-3) showed greater vasopressor activity in SHR. The mechanism of this greater potency and the pathogenesis of hypertension in SHR remains to be investigated.
