BACKGROUND: Little is known about the association of ZNF259 rs2075290 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and serum lipid levels in the Chinese population. HDL-C, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; LDL-C, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. The quantitative variables were presented as mean ± standard deviation and their difference between the groups was determined by the t-test. The values of triglyceride were presented as median (interquartile range), and their difference between the groups was determined by the Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test. The difference in percentage of cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption between the groups was determined by χ2-test.
