Abstract
Amlodipine 10 mg once daily added to captopril 25 mg twice daily for 4 weeks in patients with moderate to severe hypertension significantly improved blood pressure control (by -18/-12 and -20/-12 mm Hg for supine and standing systolic/diastolic pressures respectively, p less than 0.001). Few side effects related to amlodipine were noted and none was serious.Entities:
