Abstract
BACKGROUND: Application of the capsaicin 8% patch is associated with treatment-related discomfort. Consequently, pretreatment for 60 min with anaesthetic cream is recommended; however, this may be uncomfortable and time consuming.Entities:

Fig 3Mean change from baseline in NPRS ‘Pain Now’ score. Baseline is assessment recorded 75 min before patch application; if missing, the last non-missing value is used instead. The 95% confidence interval of the mean was calculated using normal approximation. Day 1 (evening) is not on scale. NPRS, Numerical Pain Rating Scale.
